2015 Anniversary

This is just a short note regarding the appearance of this week’s print edition. Four of the eight pages have a splash of color in celebration of the anniversary of the first issue of River Reflections rolling off the press in August of 1978.
Over the years a number of changes in the way this publication is produced have come about and we’ve expanded into other areas - including our website, social media pages and some video work. The cost of four-color printing plates, however, is not something that has evolved to a point where we could justify it on a weekly basis.
Subscribers to our digital edition, however, have been receiving a “color enhanced” publication for the last several years. Most of its eight pages have color ads or photos. It also arrives sooner. We finish the layout of each edition in time to be printed every Tuesday night. As soon as that’s completed, the digital edition is finished & emailed to subscribers.
The response has been quite positive. If you’d like to see a sample digital issue, send your email address to: rivref@aol.com.
It’s just another way we’re continuing our tradition of making, the “McKenzie Connection.”
