Tamolitch Bike Bypass

The McKenzie River Ranger District, Willamette National Forest has prepared a draft Decision Memos for the Tamolitch Pools Bike Bypass Trail Project.  The proposed action will create a bike specific trail that segregates hiking and biking traffic along the busiest section of the McKenzie River National Recreation Trail (Tr. No. 3507), from the Blue Pool Trailhead to the Blue Pool (Tamolitch falls).  The proposed project is located on the McKenzie River Ranger District, Willamette National Forest at the following Township/Range’s:   T14S, R7E Sec. 31 & T14S R6E Sec. 36 & T15S R6E Sec. 1, 12.

Comments are requested by May 1st 2016 to help in considering the final design of the project.  Comments may be submitted online through the Forest Service online comment system available at https://cara.ecosystem-management.org/Public//CommentInput?Project=50640 or mailed to Edward “Tyson” Cross, Wilderness, Trails and Winter Recreation Programs Manager, 57600 McKenzie Hwy, McKenzie Bridge, OR 97413; or delivered in person to the District Office from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.  Names and addresses of those who comment will be considered part of the public record on this project and will available for public inspection.
