Forest Service Road to close for two days next week

Damage area on USFS Rd 15USFS Road 15 will be closed next Monday and Tuesday (May 13th & 14th) for paving. It was extensively damaged in January of 2012 when heavy rains caused soil under the road to collapse, removing 180 feet of the pavement near milepost 2. Last year, much work was done to repair it, with nearly everything complete except the paving. That work will occur next week, requiring a full road closure for up to two days. Work will continue though, but the road will be open to one lane. Officials expect to have it back to a two-lane, paved road by June.
