Q. I have a potted rosemary plant in my house, and ever since I brought it in for the winter (I live in Wisconsin) it has been turning brown and seems to be dying. I’ve been watering it once a week. Am I overwatering it? I try to keep it in the sun when it shines in the kitchen window. Does it need more sun? Please help.

Photo of shipwreck of Peter IredaleA few weeks ago, a big section of a Japanese harbor dock that had drifted across the Pacific Ocean was removed at considerable expense from the beach near Newport.
The state government had gotten itself into something of a lather over the dock - as it also did several years ago with the wreckage of the freighter New Carissa.

BLUE RIVER: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to install a gate across the Saddle Dam Boat Launch at Blue River Reservoir. Installation work will close the launch ramp from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, from September 4th to 6th. In addition, the gate will be closed annually from October 15th to March 1st, when low water levels make the ramp unusable by most boats.
