5:28: At about 11:30 p.m. Trooper Boyd, with Deputy Combs (LCSO) riding, contacted a camp in the USFS Saddle Dam Campground on Blue River Reservoir after hearing a verbal dispute. Deputy Combs received consent to search the female who showed signs of meth use and seized two baggies of methamphetamine from her. Boyd contacted the male and noticed a 12 – 14”+ Douglas fir tree nearby that had been cut down recently. The male suspect indicated tat the tree was in his way when he attempted to park his vehicle.

October 20, 1926, could easily have been the day Mrs. M.D. Lewis died — suddenly, silently and violently.
She was doing some work around a small house she had for sale in the Sellwood neighborhood of Portland when an old car pulled up in front of it and a small man with black hair and dark complexion stepped out. Rude and brusque, he beetled into the house as if he owned it, muttering, “House for sale” as he passed her.

Sept 11: 2620: Suspicious Subject - 89000 block, Old Mohawk Rd., Marcola Rd. 2 male subjects came to residence and asked 18 year old female if they could live with her. One subject had long black hair the other had long blonde hair They later returned and refused to leave.

Aug. 29: 11:36 PM: Suspicious Vehicle – Mp. 9, McK. Hwy. Caller advises they are eastbound in a motorhome. A small white vehicle has been following them since Eugene. Caller thinks the driver is upset because her husband accidentally pulled out in front of him. Involved is possibly intoxicated. Advised.

Aug. 20: 4:40 PM: Attempt To Locate Drunk Driver – Mp. 7, Marcola Rd. Involved is a northbound small red compact that swerved 10 – 12 times, continues to cross the center line. An “old man” is the driver. Info relayed.

Aug. 15: 1:20 PM: Reckless Endangering – Shotgun Creek area. Report of subjects shooting in the direction of crew of 5 loggers. 14:34: Patrol check – unfounded for now.

River Dr. Caller was in a dispute with female subject & left on his own volition – advises no assault but is concerned involved may try to report him for assault. He was concerned for her safety, couldn’t articulate why except that she was very upset when he left. Info taken.

July 31: 3:23 PM: Abandoned Vehicle – Blue River area. Caller advises an abandoned Glastron boat on a trailer has been in the brush at the weigh station all day. 18:34: Spoke to registered owner. He secured the boat & is planning to return to it. He had a family emergency. Info taken.

Vida man arrested after starting a fire in his residence & fighting with police

 

VIDA: Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers on Sunday morning arrested a Vida man for numerous crimes after he intentionally started a fire in his residence. Troopers from the Springfield Area Command are continuing the investigation.

July 4: 12:39 PM: Traffic Hazard – Mp. 27, McK. Hwy. A male subject came into complainant’s yard & headed towards the river. They pointed him back to the road & now he is now in & out of the highway, staggering. He appears to be either intoxicated or on something. Involved is westbound, 25 – 30, 5’ 10”, 165 lbs., brown hair, wearing a turquoise T-shirt. OSP advised.
