Pole Creek Fire photos

An information meeting on the Pole Creek Fire will be held at 6 p.m. on at the Sisters Elementary School. Located about nine miles southwest of the city of Sisters, the fire caused the closure of Hwy. 242.

The 25th annual McKenzie River Trail Run

McKenzie River Trail Run logoOriginally a 50 mile race, it converted to a 50k event after 10 years. Noting the anniversary this year, the 50 miler was brought back in honor of the oldest continuously held ultra run in Oregon.

2012 Fall Gardening Festival


People will be able to learn many gardening tips at the 2012 Fall Gardening Festival, sponsored by Oregon State University Extension Service - Lane County Master Gardener Association. The festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., at the Willamalane Adult Activity Center, 215 W. C Street, Springfield.
