McKenzie River Trail Run logoOriginally a 50 mile race, it converted to a 50k event after 10 years. Noting the anniversary this year, the 50 miler was brought back in honor of the oldest continuously held ultra run in Oregon.

2012 Fall Gardening Festival


People will be able to learn many gardening tips at the 2012 Fall Gardening Festival, sponsored by Oregon State University Extension Service - Lane County Master Gardener Association. The festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., at the Willamalane Adult Activity Center, 215 W. C Street, Springfield.

Antiques Road Show at Eagle Rock Lodge

For anyone “in the know,” you may have caught a glimpse of the Eagle Rock Lodge on the 1-23-12 airing of “Antiques Road Show.” Some of the show’s producers stayed at this lovely inn during the filming. A segment on antique fishing gear was shot on the property, with its lovely gardens and the rushing McKenzie River in the background.
