Forgot Dad's Day? Do his burning

Sunday, June 15 will be the official last day for backyard/open burning in Lane County until fall.
The season, which closes in the summer because of fire danger, will remain closed until October 1, depending upon fire conditions. In most areas of Lane County, burning is allowed on approved days during the burn season for the disposal of woody yard debris generated on the property where burning occurs.

Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into the cause of Saturday afternoon's motorcycle-involved fatal traffic crash that occurred on Highway 126E at Mill Creek Road west of McKenzie Bridge. The victim's name will be released Sunday to allow family additional time for next of kin notifications. OSP is seeking witnesses who reportedly were at the intersection when the crash occurred but left before they could be interviewed.
