Damage area on USFS Rd 15USFS Road 15 will be closed next Monday and Tuesday (May 13th & 14th) for paving. It was extensively damaged in January of 2012 when heavy rains caused soil under the road to collapse, removing 180 feet of the pavement near milepost 2.

AOC logoThe Oregon House Committee on Transportation and Economic Development heard testimony Monday about the problems Oregon counties continue to experience with their roads. Of the 68,128 road miles in Oregon, counties are responsible for 26,692 miles, 39 percent.

An early backyard burning ban in Lane County is now in effect. Due to high fire danger, LRAPA and the Lane Fire Defense Board have now (5/6/13)prohibited all backyard and open burning in Lane County, except on the coast.
