BR crash victimToday, just before 6 a.m., OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash off the roadway on Highway 20 near milepost 98 (just west of Sisters).
Initial information indicates a 1996 Honda was traveling eastbound on Highway 20 when it left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle came to rest on it's side. Upon emergency crews arriving, the found the operator, Troy A Crabb, 35, of Blue River, deceased.

OSP logoOregon State Police (OSP), with the assistance of Deschutes County Sheriff's Office and Bend Police Department, are investigating the death of an adult male following a standoff during a stop along Highway 20. The man was stopped following a report from an outside agency that he was suicidal and armed.

Pole Creek Fire photos

An information meeting on the Pole Creek Fire will be held at 6 p.m. on at the Sisters Elementary School. Located about nine miles southwest of the city of Sisters, the fire caused the closure of Hwy. 242.
