McKenzie Varsity Sports Schedule This Week

The Middle School Track season came to a close over the weekend at the District Track Meet. Our kids performed very well. The following athletes were district champions:
Morgan Munch: 100M
Sophia Brownlee: 400M
Jade Hayes: 800M
4x200M Relay: Jade Hayes, Anna McNutt, Cassidy Campbell, Kanyen Kamrath
Jake Rauch: Discus, Javelin
Kanyen Kamrath: High Jump

This week will be the last game of the season for the baseball team as  they travel to Monroe.

Our baseball team was busy last week with three games and continues to improve.
The track team traveled to Portland to take part in the 1A Track Classic where our girls took 3rd place. The following athletes had PR's.
Buggy Hiddleston: Shot Put: 34'8.5 & Javelin: 103'1
Naomi Satchell: 1500m- 6:05.71
Idgie Glynn: Long Jump: 14'6
This week the MCTF will be hosting the Middle School District Meet. The

Our baseball team was busy over the break when they traveled to Siletz last Friday for a double header. Although they did not come away victorious, our boys showed great improvement from our first game. Game 1 score was 10-0, while the game 2 score was 5-1. This week the baseball team will get back at it with two games while the track team will travel to Sherman on Saturday. As was expected, with the start of spring sports the rain seems to be upon us. As postponements occur, I'll do my best to update all of you through email.

McKenzie High School’s Varsity Spring Sports have concluded for the 2014 season. The annual Spring Sports Academic and Athletic Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, June 3 in the Old Gymnasium.
