Make the McKenzie Connection!
By Dan Purkey
Except for a few years at Seattle University, graduating with a degree in Business Administration, Heather, her husband (A Merchant Mariner) and their daughter (5 year old Adelaide) have invested their entire life in Lane County.
At a very early age Heather was focused on finding affordable, stable housing for her family. She knows, from personal experience, that success in life begins with stable housing; and has therefore remained a focus of her work every day to find solutions for families throughout Lane County.
Upon completing her Seattle University degree, spending several years in the retirement planning industry and opening a Commercial RE and Property Management Company specializing in affordable housing, Heather added the duties of Special Project Director for St. Vincent de Paul Society….”…where she helped the agency work towards community-driven goals…(Homeless Youth Facilities, Mobile Home Park Preservation and Renovation. Etc.).
As our current Commissioner for District 5, Heather’s goals are: Affordable Housing, Jobs with Benefits, Public Safety and Infrastructure Improvements
She is looking forward to being your advocate for what concerns you the most, and is looking forward to hearing from you and serving the McKenzie River Communities.
