    Warriors Wallop Eagles, 14-4 Oakridge needed only five innings, last Thursday, April 16, to send visiting McKenzie packing as they slammed the Eagles with their worst loss of the 2013 Baseball season 14-4, the game called due to the 10 run mercy rule. Senior Eagle starting pitcher Victor Vidal took the loss as he gave up 9 runs, 6 earned, on 11 hits. Vidal struck out 3 Oakridge batters and walked 2 others. Fellow senior Blake Anderson was just as unfortunate in relief on the hill as he allowed 5 additional runs scored on 3 hits in the fifth...

  • Hwy. 242 open for some

    Rotary plow on Hwy. 242 On April 24th, ODOT crews had cleared a single lane to the summit of the Old McKenzie Pass Highway - at the Dee Wright Observatory - from the east gate. Two days later the East side access to Dee Wright was available to pedestrians and bicyclists only. And, on May 1st, the entire length of the Old McKenzie Pass Highway was opened up for cyclists and pedestrians only. People are reminded to be careful and obey the rules of the road.
