    Windermere opens local office Windermere Real Estate has purchased a property and building in Vida for their new McKenzie Windermere Office. It is in the same parking lot as the Vida Market, across from the Vida Café, giving them an office front presence on the river.     Ike’s to reopen Betty (Trotter) Koehler who bought Ike’s Pizza on Leaburg Lake in 1992, is back at the helm again. She sold it to Dave Starck in 2005, who closed the business in February. Koehler then took over again while seeking someone to reopen the business. New owner Tom Burden and his fiancé Debbie Strucker, are scheduled to open the doors to Ike’s on May 10th.     Chamber adopts new logo The McKenzie River Chamber of Commerce is updating its image thanks to a new logo designed by Tom Lincoln of Lincoiln Design in Springfield. McKenzie Chamber of Commerce logo The design incorporates elements like the McKenzie River, mountains and fishing that have drawn visitors to the area for decades.     BBQ & Wine Tasting People had a great time at the McKenzie River Inn’s June 30th BBQ and wine tasting to benefit the Cascade Raptor Center. Besides the Raptors presentation, attendees could browse the comprehensive and very informative on Donald Mackenzie in the McKenzie Mobil Museum. In the spirit of Oregon, with the rain, the event raised $200 for the Cascade Raptor Center.
