Over the last 11 days the Lane County Sheriff’s Office has been assigning extra patrols to the McKenzie Bridge community due to the fire activity. This provided a law enforcement presence in areas that do not routinely see patrols. During several occasions, the deputy assigned used available time to follow-up on previously reported crimes that occurred prior to the fire activity.
