    Dave walp LEABURG: Last Saturday’s Salmon Celebration at the McKenzie Hatchery provided a number of opportunities for people to learn about the complex ecosystem in the area.     National Public Lands Day at the Blue River Park Public Lands Day This Saturday, September 27, volunteers will be continuing work on a project that began two years ago in association with the Ford Family Foundation. This year the group will be replacing picnic tabletops and benches that have decayed in the forested setting. The group will also begin erecting directional maps in two locations in the park that will designate the trails leading to a new footbridge to be built over the spillway at the base of the dam.
