    Leaburg hatchery sign LEABURG: After a decade of weathering, the signs at the entrance driveway to the Leaburg Hatchery had been taken down. The signs laminated butcher block teak panels were refinished. But now they could be bobbing down the river or hanging in someone’s hideaway. Leaburg Trout Hatchery manager Erik Withalm says last Thursday night or Friday morning someone made off with them - a 3 foot by 4 foot sign and a smaller 1 foot by 4 foot panel.   • Old McKenzie Pass has reopened

    Rotary plow at Dee Wright On April 24th, ODOT crews had cleared a single lane to the summit of the Old McKenzie Pass Highway - at the Dee Wright Observatory - from the east gate. Two days later the East side access to Dee Wright was available to pedestrians and bicyclists only. And, on May 1st, the entire length of the Old McKenzie Pass Highway was opened up for cyclists and pedestrians only. People are reminded to be careful and obey the rules of the road.
