Make the McKenzie Connection!
Back on board at the Stage Stop
CEDAR FLAT: “In the restaurant business, you either love it or hate it,” according to Patsy Wilson. “I’m lucky, I love it.”
For her, that affection became a life-long career. She grew up in Eugene and graduated from Powers High School before working at (or running, and owning) several well known eateries over the last 40 years. Some of the places Patsy worked have included the original Ford Restaurant on Franklin Boulevard and the Fred Meier Cafe. Locally, she owned the Riverside Inn for three years and the McKenzie Stage Stop Restaurant, for eight.
That sort of resume has resulted in a good following of customers, who have been keeping her extremely busy since the word got out that she took over the Stage Stop again in May. That change has involved some remodeling, putting together a new menu and adding some tempting take-out dinners like lasagna or casseroles for both busy area residents and vacationers. Besides that Patsy said the deck out back is ready for the summer and is an idea spot for private parties.
Now open for dinner, as well as breakfast and lunch, the Stage Stop Restaurant is welcoming people at 38491 McKenzie Hwy. in Cedar Flat. If you want to place an order, call 541-741-7907.
