THE RUSTIC QUILT

Darla Rinehart (born in Centralia, Washington) married Ronald Rinehart of McKenzie Bridge, and has been a vital part of the McKenzie River community for the past 42 years. After faithfully serving local businesses - from the McKenzie High School to general stores, resorts and restaurants, -Darla was given a “long-armed quilter” in May of 2017; and soon was able to start the “Rustic Quilt.”

Since last May, Darla has been sharing her talents and facilities through classes, comfortable areas to sew/quilt and assisting people complete quilt projects.

In a short period of time I began to understand the intricacies of these quilted blankets, the history of this art and the concept of “quilting the quilt.” As Darla shared with me, “Anyone can come in and sew/quilt anytime. I am open at no charge.”

The Rustic Quilt is located at 54771 McKenzie Highway in Rainbow. The normal hours of operation are Wednesday - Sunday from 10 a.m. -5 p.m. (except a Noon opening on Sunday). I encourage you to call Darla at 541-822-6236 for organized classes to experience this amazing art!
