    Over the last 11 days the Lane County Sheriff’s Office has been assigning extra patrols to the McKenzie Bridge community due to the fire activity. This provided a law enforcement presence in areas that do not routinely see patrols.     Wildfire Near Potato Hill Closes Highway 20 Around 3:00 p.m. on August 29, a fire was reported on the Willamette National Forest near Potato Hill (approximately milepost 76 on Highway 20.) The fire began on the south side of the highway but has crossed and is burning near Lost Lake, prompting the closure of Highway 20.
