Santiam wreck On December 25, at about 10 a.m., OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a crash involving two vehicles on Highway 20 near milepost 77 (just east of the Santiam Junction). Preliminary information indicates a 2003 Chevy Tahoe was traveling eastbound on Highway 20 when it lost control on the icy roadway. BR crash victim Today, just before 6 a.m., OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash off the roadway on Highway 20 near milepost 98 (just west of Sisters). Initial information indicates a 1996 Honda was traveling eastbound on Highway 20 when it left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle came to rest on it's side. Fish truck wreck On January 7, Oregon State Police troopers cited Ray C. Lewis, 45, of Umpqua Oregon, for the crimes of DUII-alcohol, and Reckless Driving into Lane County Circuit Court. At approximately 2:50 p.m. on December 30th, a westbound Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) fish delivery tanker driving on highway 126E was loaded with 11,000 Chinook salmon smolts and water and headed to the Row River near Cottage Grove where they were to be released. VIDA: A vehicle involved in a fatal accident last month remains on the bottom of the McKenzie River. On May 13th, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a submerged vehicle in the water near milepost 31 at approximately 6:57 p.m. A short time later they located a person floating down the river.
