Golfer The third annual Tokatee Scramble, a golf tournament benefiting the McKenzie River Medical Clinic, has room for some more teams. This year, the popular tournament takes place on Sunday, August 31, during Labor Day weekend. Tokatee Golf Club, on the McKenzie Hwy. in Rainbow, is hosting the tournament again this year. Registration fee is $100 per person, or $400 per four-person team, and includes an 18-hole round of golf, cart, range balls, lunch and beverage afterwards, and complimentary raffle tickets. Boat & dragon entry Parade float By Pete Petty SISTERS: Volunteers from the McKenzie Community Track and the Chainsaw Art Festival teamed up to participate in the Sisters Rodeo Parade last Saturday and in doing so, made quite an impression on the parade judges. Their entry, a float featuring a vintage wooden drift boat with a carved dragon fishing on the river, took 2nd place honors in the judging. Named Big Sky Athlete of the Week Sarah Dean STANFORD, CA: Senior Sarah Dean (formerly Hanchett) set a near-50-second personal best running of 10,000 meters Sunday while competing at the Payton Jordan Invitational.
