62nd annual Walterville Community Fair
The 62nd annual Walterville Community Fair will begin at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, September 8th. Friends and neighbors will be celebrating “200 Years of Community.” Be sure to bring entries of canning, baking, arts & crafts, garden vegetables, flowers, and whatever you may want to enter by 9:30 Saturday morning (judging begins at 10). Plenty best of show prizes and ribbons will be awarded. Lots of vendors will set up outdoors besides other events to keep people busy. Quite a few vintage farm tractors plan to be in the parade, which starts at 11 at the Walterville Fire Station, and then will be displayed in the "show and shine" after the parade. You can enter the parade in any other mode, too! There will be a great lunch served at 11:30 for a nominal fee, and lots of games for the kids after the parade. Entertainment will start at 3:30 p.m., followed at 4:30, by the "Best Bar-B-Q chicken dinner" for $7. Raffle prizes will be given away starting at 6:30 p.m. This all will happen at 39359 Camp Creek Road in Walterville.
