HB2624, which would enable counties to vote on whether to bring dogs and hunters back in the management mix has been passed by the Oregon House. It would allow hunters to use dogs to hunt black bears or cougars and use bait to hunt black bears by exempting that county from the applicability of the statute banning those methods of taking wildlife. Contact your legislator and tell them how you feel about the bill's effects on rural Oregon. For more information, go to: https://olis.leg.state.or.us/liz/2013R1/Measures/Text/HB2624/Introduced
