Make the McKenzie Connection!
Lane County Sheriff Byron Trapp advises residents living in flood prone areas along rivers, creeks and streams to monitor water levels tonight throughout the weekend. If necessary and safe to do so, evacuate self, family and pets to friends, family or hotel before becoming trapped by rising water. For life threatening emergencies ONLY call 911. Areas of greatest concern are: Hwy 126 W at Cushman, about 2 ½ miles east of the casino, and areas Northeast of Springfield along the Mohawk River. Many other areas of Lane County could be impacted by localized flooding. Residents are advised to remain vigilant of changing conditions.
Never drive through standing water – turn around, don’t drown!
