Excerpts from May 12, 2016 Sheriff's Reports

April 28: 6:24 am: Subject Down – 35000 block, Camp Creek Rd. Report of a subject covered with multi colored blanket lying down in the parking lot. Caller does not feel comfortable approaching subject, honked her horn & no movement. 06:25: Fire Dept. advised. 06:39: Subject was just sleeping & has moved on.

May 1: 2:22 am: Suspicious Conditions – 46000 block, N. Gate Creek Rd. Complainant noticed a motorcycle in the area the last couple of days & subject approached property in an attempt to steal. Tonight subjects pulled up in a silver 2 door, “beat up” older vehicle. Subjects were shining flashlights into windows of garage & vehicles. They left location towards McK. Hwy. 20 minutes ago.

6:45 pm: Suspicious Conditions – 44000 block, McK. Hwy. Complainant advises one of her clients called about 20 minutes ago saying she was left at the fish hatchery by her boyfriend. She then called again screaming saying that he was back. Complainant could hear the male in the background yelling at her. Before the line disconnected caller said the male was bringing her back into town. 19:15: Springfield PD will do a victim check. 01:17: Unable to locate on Fish Hatchery Rd. & Leaburg Dam Rd.

10:12 pm: Suspicious Subject – Lat. 44.256483. Long. -122.038376.   Complainant    was

camping at the Ollalie Camp-ground earlier today. She talked to the camp host & told him she was going to the Deer Creek hotsprings. A male subject followed her & started walking around naked. Later in the day he showed up at complainant’s campsite, dropped his pants & started playing with himself. Complainant has since left the campground, just wanted to relay information. 01:09: Incident occurred in Linn County.

May 3: 10:14 pm: Suspicious Vehicle – River St. & Blue River Dr. Involved is a late 90’s Ford pickup with expired tags parked halfway in the road. It was driven by a male in his 50’s, thin, appeared to be intoxicated. The male left about 5 minutes ago in a dark colored smaller vehicle. Caller says the small vehicle that showed up tried to tow the pickup off the roadway but ripped off its bumper. Then it took off. Caller is concerned the pickup may be a hazard. There appears to be some sort of homemade weaponry in the back – duct tape/screw “brass knuckles” & saw blade things wrapped in clear plastic & tarps.
