New ODOT Roadcams give visual updates in Rainbow
RAINBOW: Oregon has an extensive network of cameras that showcase this attractive, scenic and diverse state. New Tripcheck cameras along the McKenzie section of Hwy. 126 are now online. The new sites will also provide remote weather information to help the National Weather Service.
ODOT’s travel information website has been in operation since 2000. Currently, there are more than 300 cameras in the TripCheck network. Most TripCheck cameras update every five minutes.
The fresh cameras are located atop the “sign bridge” near milepost 47 in Rainbow, with views both East and West. Other nearby cameras are located along Hwy. 20 on the Santiam Pass and two are at the Santiam junction. To access the cameras, go to: alturl.com/7xmcq.
