One of the treasures of Leaburg is Kley Repair and Service at 42763 McKenzie Highway. Originally built around 1929 as a Texaco Station (Leaburg Garage and Gas Station), it eventually became M & N Repair Service about 1969. 37 years ago, after the gas tanks were removed, Mike Kley bought the business and changed the name to KLEY REPAIR AND SERVICE!

Under Mike’s leadership, the integrity and reputation of the customer service spread up and down the McKenzie River. Wanting to lessen his hours and have more time for other activities, Mike hired Jacob (Jake) Lawson four years ago to become his repair and service manager.

The reliability, reputation and integrity (established by Mike) continued under the management of Jacob: “Jake at Kley’s has been fantastic at maintaining our aging vehicles. It’s great having such a reliable, personable (and quick) mechanic in Leaburg….Four thumbs up for Kley’s Repair Service!” – Gary Parker

After both Jacob and Rachel’s families moved to the Harrisburg and Junction City areas, their moms worked together and became friends. Soon, Jacob and Rachel began dating, eventually married, had children and now live outside of Blue River! With 20 years of experience, Jacob’s eventual goal is to own his own shop. In addition to taking care of the business for Mike Kley, Jacob is the President of the Oregon Off Road Club and donates time toward Toys for Tots and McKenzie River clean-up days.
