McKenzie Varsity Sports Schedule This Week

The McKenzie Varsity Volleyball team hosts Siletz Valley on Tuesday, September 12, with first serve set for 6:00 p.m. The Eagle team travels to Triangle Lake on Thursday, September 14, for a match starting at 6:00 p.m.

The McKenzie Cross Country teams travel to Oakland on Wednesday, September 13, to participate in the Acorn Gully Chase. The Boys' 3,000 meters Varsity race starts at 5:00 pm and the Girls 3,000 meters race will begin at 5:30 pm.

The McKenzie Varsity 6-man Football team hosts Eddyville Charter on Friday, September 15 and kickoff is slated for 7:00 pm.

McKenzie Volleyball Drops Non-League Opener to Yoncalla

Split League Action With Mohawk/Mannahouse

The McKenzie Varsity Eagle Volleyball team opened its 2023 Fall campaign at home, hosting the Yoncalla Eagles representing the Skyline League, last Tuesday, September 5. McKenzie won a hard-fought opening set, 27-25, but the Skyline Eagles turned the tables in the second set, winning 28-26. Yoncalla settled its own opening nerves to win the third set 25-12 and the final set 25-9, taking the match 3-1.

McKenzie traveled to Marcola on Saturday, September 9 for a three-way match with host Mohawk and Mannahouse Academy, Eugene. Mohawk, the defending Mt. West League Champion, defeated the Eagles 3-0 in the first match, but McKenzie rallied in their second match to defeat Mannahouse Acad., 3-0.
