State Police Report - June 13

June 5: 12:52: Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Alcohol – Hwy. 126E, Milepost 41. Trooper was working traffic enforcement in a construction zone and stopped a vehicle for driving outside of its lane. A traffic stop and a DUII investigation revealed the driver was impaired. The driver was also identified as the driver in a previously reported hit and run case. The driver was taken into custody for DUII (and Reckless Driving on the previous case) and transported to the Lane County Jail. The breath sample revealed the driver BAC at 0.06%. The driver was issued citations for DUII, Reckless Driving, Open Container, and Fail to Drive Within Lane. Involved: silver/aluminum Dodge Caravan, 63-year-old male.

01:39: Crash, Injury – Hwy. 126E, Mp. 20. Troopers were dispatched to a report of a single motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed a white Kia Soul was traveling eastbound when it left its lane of travel. The Kia crossed over into the shoulder, adjacent to the westbound and struck a tree. The Kia came to rest just east of the tree. The operator advised they fell asleep, leading to the crash. The operator was transported to the hospital via ground ambulance. Tow retrieved the vehicle. Involved: 34-year-old female from McKenzie Bridge.

June 11: 02:07: Crash, Injury – Hwy. 126E & Camp Creek Rd. Troopers dispatched to report of a single vehicle crash with rollover. Investigation revealed a 2020 black Subaru Impreza was traveling southeast on Camp Creek Road. The Subaru left the lane of travel and entered the ditch adjacent to the westbound lane of Hwy. 126 and struck a powerline pole. The pole snapped and at some point the Subaru rolled. It ame to rest on its roof in the eastbound lane of Hwy. 126. EWEB was contacted for the powerline pole & a tow responded to retrieve the Subaru. An ODOT sign was damaged as a result of the crash.
