Your donation will exclusively fund ‘Civic Journalism’ by McKenzie River Reflections reporters, editors, photojournalists and independent contractors reportage on local government agencies, elections and voter information, education, health and public safety, public policy impacts and investigative journalism … stories on community-led responses to problems and the policies that address those problems … a watchdog function that keep citizens, local governments, and institutions function in the best interests of the community.

 With your support, the McKenzie River Reflections will continue its efforts to enhance and expand reporting on public records, public meetings and legal notices that are crucial for an informed public.

 Sponsorship through the Oregon Public Information Partnership (OPIP):

The Civic Journalism mission of the the McKenzie River Reflections’ reporting/editorial team is approved, sponsored and monitored by OPIP, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving specialized financial and journalism needs of independent Oregon community newspapers.

Contributions:

Contributions to help maintain the McKenzie River Reflections’ news team may be tax-deductible contributions to OPIP, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, pursuant to §170(c) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. OPIP grants to the McKenzie River Reflections are monitored grants and cannot be used for any other purpose. OPIP retains 10 percent of contributions for administrative operations of programs serving Independent Oregon Community Newspapers.
